We're Moving

Susan and I are the proud parents of our Granddaughter Allie. She is officially and legally our little girl. Many of you have followed Allie's Story since it began in April of 2007 and have prayed for us often. Thank you for that. You’ve helped us through the trial of our lives; you’ve put your shoulder to a burden we couldn’t carry by ourselves.

Incredible blessings have come out of this trial. Having Allie in our care is the greatest, of course. We are so pleased with her progress and Susan and I rejoice daily when she gets out of bed in the morning. She’s come so far, but in addition to that, she is one of the most personable and beautiful people we know.

Another blessing that has come out of this is my position with Shepherd’s Staff Mission Facilitators. My work with the organization has revealed that it is a mutual good fit for both parties. This knowledge carries with it excitement and vision for future Kingdom Work.

Next month, Susan and I will be tying up loose ends here in Northern California and then move our new little family back to South Florida to re-join our family, friends, and church in Jupiter, FL. We are looking forward to watching Allie grow up surrounded by the people we love.

When we get to Florida, I will continue as a missionary pastor serving with Shepherd’s Staff. Here's what I'll do:

  • prepare missionaries to hit the ground running
  • make sure that missionaries communicate and stay connected with their home support base
  • work with churches to do long and short-term missions effectively
  • care for missionary families and marriages
  • provide administrative support for financial and tax accountability

donate We raise support to cover our salary. Would you pray about partnering with us in the work and/or underwriting a portion of our move as we head back home to South Florida. I've set up a web page on MissionaryScribbler.com to accommodate those in a position to help.

As ever, we are grateful that you enable us to work among and serve those being launched into the mission field abroad.

It's been 18 months, hasn't it? I'm glad you guys get to go back home...which seems odd, given that you grew up where you've been, for so many months. But, then, where I grew up hasn't been "home" for a very long time.

Anyway, I wish you guys well with the move and all the attending adjustments. Good to know that God is with you, wherever you call "home"!
